The API 1184 exam is primarily based upon the API 1184 Recommended Practice document that is available for hard copy or digital purchase. It is a complicated document that requires guidance and retention for the material as there are no reference materials available to the testing candidate during the exam - which is different than the API 1169 exam format. 

How long is the API 1184 and how many questions does it have?

The API 1184 examination is timed at 3 hours and contains 120 questions in various forms such as Multiple Choice Single Response, Multiple Choice Multiple Response, Drag and Drop, & Matching. This uniquely makes the API 1184 Exam challenging to navigate without proper training of the base material.
